Our Mission
The Fall Art Tour is a leading annual Wisconsin visual arts event. The Tour involves four communities: Baraboo, Spring Green, Dodgeville, and Mineral Point. It takes place the third weekend of every October. Through demonstrations and studio experiences the Tour strives to promote the understanding of how and why art/craft is created. It fosters the education, use and enjoyment of the visual arts. It provides an environment to promote the appreciation and talent of area artists/craftspeople. The Fall Art Tour inspires the public to develop a respect for the visual arts in Wisconsin.
Why Donate
The Fall Art Tour is committed to bringing the public a free, educational weekend event devoted to the arts. During the tour, artists demonstrate their techniques, share their inspiration, and provide behind-the-scenes access into their studios. Visitors will see firsthand how each artist creates their work and have the opportunity to ask questions. No two studios are alike, nor are breathtaking views you’ll find as you meander through the gorgeous driftless region.
The Fall Art Tour is a celebration of talent and diversity, showcasing a wide range of styles, media, and subjects. Since the first year in 1994, the Fall Art Tour has grown to be a popular annual event enjoyed by people of all ages. This year, during our 30th annual tour, we’re showcasing over 60 unique artists in 48 one-of-a-kind studios tucked into the rolling hills of southwest Wisconsin. Expect to see traditional, contemporary, and experimental pieces along the way.
The Fall Art Tour is predominately funded by the participating tour artists but we also rely heavily on generous donations made by our communities and people from across the country that have come to love and cherish this special weekend. Donations are an essential part of our annual budget and quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without you.
