I paint with paper and wood and canvas, glue and scissors and saw.
Living and working in a rural setting is a wide window onto a wilder part of our world, and I cannot shift my gaze. Always something moving, changing, dancing. So much to learn from its glow and its shadows, murmurings and howls, storms and stillness.
My artwork is an homage to this place: landscapes/worldscapes filled with creatures and flora, streams and sky, the mud of thaw and electric love light.
Lately, the paintings have been restless on the wall or in a frame. The shapes have literally been jumping out and I’ve been helping them, cutting them free to find their way.
