From a very early age I can remember being enveloped by my grandmother’s painting room. The smell of turpentine, the brushes in the coffee can and the canvases lined up along her wall. I knew magic happened in that room.
My painting style and methods have changed and evolved many times over the years. Presently I’m working with oil and cold wax. This is a new medium for me and I find it to be the most challenging. I have found that you can’t control the painting; patience and trust are part of this process. Adding and subtracting layers of paint are also part of the process. The painting will reveal itself but only when I let go.
Magical moments do happen.
