Jane Wilcoxson paints and draws stories with impact full color and texture. Working in oil pastel or acrylics, she is a visual storyteller. Her stories will flow through a series of work, and will explore themes such as finding ones place, displacement, and living within, and as a part of, the earth’s huge ecosystem. Her often, fantastical paintings are full of plants, animals, buildings and people.
Born in the U.K. she became an artist as a child attending Leek College of Art and Designs’ talented youth program at the age of 10, students were taught by professional artists and encouraged to explore all mediums and ideas. By the age of 16 Jane had transitioned to a full time student and then went on to complete her BA in Fine Art Painting at Loughborough College of Art and Design and her Post Graduate in Education at Birmingham Polytechnic.
She has exhibited her work extensively in Europe and the USA, gaining enthusiastic collectors, winning many awards, published in books and magazines and now has a mini documentary called; I Am An Artist!
