October 18, 19 & 20, 2024 - Daily 10am - 6pm - Mineral Point, Spring Green/Dodgeville, Baraboo

Early on in my woodworking career as a scenic carpenter in Chicago I was introduced to the scroll saw. I enjoy how the this tool allows me to create depth in my paintings while playing with negative space and silhouette in the design. I enjoy the process of integrating varied materials and techniques so that my work is continually evolving. I feel this experimentation challenges and inspires me to keep creating new and unique work. In addition to my studio work, I am a muralist and have had work commissioned throughout the region as well as internationally. Thematically I am inspired by the natural beauty of this area, folklore, and the connection I feel with this land I call home.

Clay

I began working with clay out of necessity. I was teaching art classes in remote villages and needed a medium that was available and cheap. I lean toward the practical but also have a sense of humor.
