Weaving professionally since 1985, I hand dye yarns and weave fabrics of cotton, linen, merino wool, silk and rayon (a wood product) fiber for garments and accessories. “Artful Apparel” is my studio/ shop, which is located in Mineral Point, WI. I enjoy the rich, historic ambiance of the neighborhood and feel it supports the ancient nature of producing finely crafted textiles on traditional, non-electric looms. All designs are original, individually cut and sewn, achieving truly one-of-a-kind pieces including custom buttons per garment. Producing 3 distinct fabric styles on 4 looms throughout the year allows for ongoing artistic exploration and development in pattern-work compositions, while continuing to provide my classic line of soft and beautifully colored rayon chenille scarves, cowls and hats. Table-ware and wall pieces are also available much of the time. I do not spin the yarns, but do complete every step of all processes after that myself in order to bring these pieces to you.
