October 18, 19 & 20, 2024 - Daily 10am - 6pm - Mineral Point, Spring Green/Dodgeville, Baraboo

Rick Graves makes tightly focused photographs of aging industrial, architectural, and everyday details. Removed from their original context, many of his images are abstractions of light, color, and form.

With formal training in the performing arts, Rick is interested in how the movement of light and form create motion and emotion. With a background in film photography, his work is in sharp focus, with full-
tonal-range, presented with little or no manipulation. With the exception of images on metal, which are sent to a lab in St Louis, he prints his images in-house.

Rick collaborates with his wife Joni, printing book covers that use his photography or images provided by clients; preparing and finishing the wood used for matched-grain covers; and sometimes creating custom tools that support her work. She, in turn, manages the log of his
inventory, sometimes scouts for photographic subjects, and sincerely hopes to do a better job of maintaining and updating their website …
