Ceramics, Acrylic/Oil, Mixed Media

From my very earliest memories, I have always been curious to express the world through my hands. Whether it be a blessing or a curse, creating and expressing my world with my fingers has been a passion that began in early childhood.

Throughout my life, creating artwork has been a lifelong experience. It has threaded me through the ups and downs of my world. This dream came true when I finally moved to Mineral Point, Wisconsin to pursue creating artwork as my fulltime occupation. My gratitude runs deep having this opportunity as an artist in this beautiful landscape of the world we call the Driftless Region.

I am in love with nature, the natural world and its infinite forms. The belief that everything has some form of spirit, is the element I try to capture in my artwork. I combine this with a curiosity of the deep past, archaeology, ancient symbols, maps, flora and faunal subjects to old machinery and landscapes of the Driftless Region, Lake Superior and the Southwest.
In my gallery you will find the artwork is diverse, whether it be watercolor, pen and ink, acrylic/oil, mixed natural media or ceramic, the media is dependent upon inspiration. From landscape paintings in acrylic/oil, to ceramics of prehistoric horses, to turn of the century poster artwork to ceramic sculptures of animals, people and imaginary subjects.

Art is so much more than a material thing to me; it is a connection. I consider myself just a person who loves to create. The artwork in my view, is the relationship created between myself and the viewer who sees their story in my work. It is those who appreciate my work that define me as an artist. I am grateful to share my creativity with the world.
