Tom and I have been enjoying making pottery together for over 45 years, producing a wide variety of functional items for daily use. We each do our own part in the process, our joint efforts combine to make each piece individual. We are committed to the harmony of form and function and consider it a privilege to make things that become a part of people’s lives.
Along the way I began painting and welding. In painting, I love vivid color and unusual subjects. Welding offers an opportunity to combine clay and old repurposed bits and pieces to form one-of-a-kind clocks, tables and lamps.
We live and work in an 1850 limestone brewery on the edge of Mineral Point. At Brewery Pottery we enjoy using our hands and imaginations while meeting people and hearing the stories of their lives. Brewery Pottery is open daily April through December.
After living in various parts of the country, Tom and I settled in Iowa County in 1981. Being drawn by the beauty of the region and the friendliness of the people we’ve found true home in this corner of Wisconsin. My love of the driftless landscape, historic buildings, and animals are brought to life in my paintings through my love and use of vivid color.
An old brewery building on the edge of Mineral Point is home, studio and gallery for Diana and her husband Tom who spend their time making pots, painting, making assemblage sculptures and visiting with the people who walk through their door.
