Glass has an intelligence, a spirit and a potential for life that no other art medium has. I live with the knowledge of how to make glass breathe and acknowledge its potential. Having my own studio has caused the realization that all the effort, time and money I have put into my work has given me a sanctuary that few people get to experience in their careers.
Working with glass is an amazing physical process which requires my mind and body to work together. Glass is so immediate. It requires the motion of a ballerina, the strength of a weight lifter, and the vitality of a child. It encourages me to be one with myself.
